1. What ClearStatement is
ClearStatement is a free, browser-based tool that converts bank statement PDFs into Excel or CSV files. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. We provide it as-is, and we may change, improve, or discontinue it at any time.
2. Provided "as is", with no warranty
The tool is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including, but not limited to, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any conversion will be complete or accurate.
3. Verify your results
Automated extraction can make mistakes, particularly on unusual statement layouts. You are responsible for checking the converted spreadsheet against your original statement. Do not rely on the output for tax filings, audits, loan applications, legal matters, or any other official purpose without verifying it against the source document first. You are the final check.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to use ClearStatement only for lawful purposes and only with documents you have the right to process. You are responsible for the documents you convert and for how you handle the resulting files.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't abuse the service. In particular, you agree not to attempt to disrupt or overload the site, to interfere with its normal operation, or to use it to break any law or the rights of others.
6. Intellectual property
Your documents remain yours — we claim no rights over them, and we never receive them anyway. The ClearStatement name, website, and original content remain the property of their author.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ClearStatement and its author will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the tool. Because the tool is provided free of charge, this limitation applies fully.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the tool after a change means you accept the updated terms.
