How it works

  1. Upload your statement — use the PDF downloaded from your bank's website or mobile app.
  2. Automatic extraction — dates, descriptions, and amounts are identified locally in your browser. No data is transmitted anywhere.
  3. Download your spreadsheet — clean Date, Description, and Amount columns, ready for Excel, Google Sheets, or your accounting software.

Why convert a bank statement to Excel?

  1. Tax preparation & bookkeeping — give your accountant a structured spreadsheet instead of a 12-page PDF.
  2. Expense analysis — pivot tables and charts instead of manually scanning through PDF pages.
  3. Loan & mortgage applications — lenders commonly request transaction history in spreadsheet format.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. The converter is free to use, with no account required.

Is my bank statement data safe?

Yes. Your PDF is parsed entirely within your browser using JavaScript — it is never uploaded to any server. This tool has no backend: close the tab and nothing remains.

Which banks are supported?

Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capital One and Citibank are tuned explicitly, plus a generic parser that handles most other US bank statement layouts.

What about scanned (image) PDFs?

If your PDF is a photo/scan with no embedded text, the tool will tell you it found nothing to extract. Re-download the statement as a text PDF from your bank's website — banks provide those by default.

How accurate is the extraction?

Highly accurate on standard digital statements from major banks. As with any automated extraction, we recommend spot-checking a few rows and the totals against your original PDF before relying on the data for tax filings or official records.
